Dear Member Residents,
Our monthly collection for the security scheme is sufficient to employ only 8 guards (1 guard at a subsidised rate from the security company), with 4 guards per 12 hours shift. From residents’ feedback, some prefer the guards to man the guard posts while others like to see more patrolling.
As a compromise, the Security Committee (SC) has decided to station 1 guard each at Jalan SS2/90 beside the school and Jalan SS2/107 on 24 hour basis. The other 2 guards will be patrolling. This means there will not be any guard to man the entry/exit points at Jalan SS2/2 near TNB substation and Jalan SS2/96 behind Bomba.
Since taking over effective 1 Jan 2012, the new security company has tried out a few security arrangement in order to find the most acceptable one. The SC has since agreed to the following:
Day time:
1. Day shift: 7.00 am to 7.00 pm. 4 guards on duty.
2. Entry/exit points at 2/90 and 2/107 to be manned. There will be no guard control at 2/2 and 2/96.
3. 2 guards to do patrolling. They will rest at 2/2 and 2/96 after every patrolling.
Night Time:
1. Night shift: 7.00 pm to 7.00 am. 4 guards on duty.
2. Entry/exit points at 2/90 and 2/107 to be manned. There will be no guard control at 2/2 and 2/96.
3. 2 guards to do patrolling. They will rest at 2/2 and 2/96 after every patrolling.
4. From 12 mid-night to 6.00 am, boom gate will be closed at 2/90 and 2/107, but with guard control.
5. From 12 mid-night to 6.00 am, 2/96 will be closed with boom gate without guard control.
6. Jalan 2/2 will be open for 24 hours.
Side Lanes
All side lanes bordering SS2D along 2/72 and 2/95 will be permanently closed except for the side lane beside the school which will be open from 6.00 am to 9.00 am during school days.
