Dear Member Residents,

1st Security Payment for 2017

 

Firstly, Happy Holidays! We are writing to inform that the next security payment for January, February, Mac & April 2017 (RM200.00) is due shortly. Those who wish to pay for 6 months (RM 300) or 12 months (RM 600) may continue to do so. Members who joined at a different time resulting in payments not in sync with our schedule may adjust their payments accordingly so that all future payments can be synchronized.

 

Kindly make payment by :

• cash; or
• cheque payable to “Persatuan Penduduk Sektor SS2 Utara, PJ.”  ; or
• e-banking/bank transfer direct into Account No: CIMB 8003414519. Please forward the payment slip/details to any Committee Member or e-mail to ss2dresidents@gmail.com for purpose of updating payment record and issuance of receipt.
   
  As a reminder, if you are transferring payment via "CIMB Clicks", please make it a point to inform us of your registered name with SS2D Security or your house address for ease of identification.

Residents' Meeting Report

Below is a brief summary of the outcome of the residents' security meeting

held on 24 Sept 2016, from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm, attended by 55 member residents.

From the reply forms received before and during the meeting:

Nos. in favour of continuing the security scheme : 148

Nos. opted for discontinuing the security scheme : 2 (one each from 2/95 & 2/105)

In view of the overwhelming support from the residents, the Security Committee,

together with the residents present, have jointly decided to continue the security scheme.

During the meeting, four residents volunteered to join the Security Committee. They are:

1) Mr. Chiam Seon-U (2/90)

2) Mr. Soo Shi Kuan (2/92)

3) Mr. Chin Kuo Hung (2/97)

4) Mr. Peter Wee (2/107)

The Security Committee shall take follow-up action on various issues brought up during

the dialogue session. Thank you.

Invitation to Meeting with Security Committee

Dear Member Residents,                                                                                              

Please be informed that the Security Committee (SC) is proposing a special meeting with member residents as follows:

·             Date: 24.9.2016 (Saturday)

·             Time: 3.00 pm

·             Venue: SK Taman Sea, SS2/95.

During the meeting, SC will brief the members what has been done so far for the security scheme, the short comings and the way forward.

At the same time, feedback & comments are welcomed from member residents. Due to some recent negative comments from certain residents, the SC feel it is necessary to make an important decision. After the dialogue/discussion, members are requested to decide whether you still want the security scheme to be continued or discontinued from next year Jan 2017.

All members are cordially invited to attend this important meeting. Attendance will be recorded and light refreshment will be served.

Robbery in SS2D

Dear Residents,

The Security Committee recently received reports that two suspicious looking

Indian riding on motorcycle have been circling SS2D area looking for victims 

to commit robbery.

Three robbery / snatch theft cases already happened at:

1) SS 2/103 near Hock Thye Restaurant at 3.00 pm on 21.8.2016

2) SS 2/88 in front of the victim's house at 6.00 pm on 21.8.2016

3) SS 2/2 near Bomba at 7.00 pm on 22.8.2016

Security guards have been directed to look for those 2 guys while patrolling, to

take down their motorcycle plate number and if possible, take a photo of them.

They were also told to report the strangers/suspects to the Police, if necessary.

Residents are advised to be extra careful all the time and be always on vigilant.

Break-in Through the Roof in SS2D

Dear Member Residents,

Be informed that there was a break-in to a member's house in SS2D through the roof on

19.7.2016 at around 11.00 am morning. The thief climbed up to the roof, removed the tiles,

cut the zinc plate and plaster ceiling board and went inside the house.

When the house alarm was triggered, the security guard went to the house to investigate.

They rang the door-bell but did not receive any response. The guard then took the picture of

the house and informed the Security Committee (SC) Members. The SC in turn called the

owner to inform him triggered alarm. The owner subsequently called his wife who returned

home later. During that time, the guard noticed that both the front and back doors were closed.

According to the owner later, the thief came down from the roof through the damaged ceiling

board.

It is possible that the thief might have easily climbed up to the roof by way of the steel

telephone pole with horizontal brackets located in the back lane and then escaped through the

back window after the break in. Coincidently, there was drain work being carried out by a

contractor nearby.

Residents are again advised to be on full alert, be cautious and be more careful when leaving

or returning home.
