Break-in Through the Roof in SS2D

Dear Member Residents,

Be informed that there was a break-in to a member's house in SS2D through the roof on

19.7.2016 at around 11.00 am morning. The thief climbed up to the roof, removed the tiles,

cut the zinc plate and plaster ceiling board and went inside the house.

When the house alarm was triggered, the security guard went to the house to investigate.

They rang the door-bell but did not receive any response. The guard then took the picture of

the house and informed the Security Committee (SC) Members. The SC in turn called the

owner to inform him triggered alarm. The owner subsequently called his wife who returned

home later. During that time, the guard noticed that both the front and back doors were closed.

According to the owner later, the thief came down from the roof through the damaged ceiling

board.

It is possible that the thief might have easily climbed up to the roof by way of the steel

telephone pole with horizontal brackets located in the back lane and then escaped through the

back window after the break in. Coincidently, there was drain work being carried out by a

contractor nearby.

Residents are again advised to be on full alert, be cautious and be more careful when leaving

or returning home.

Armed Robbery at SS2/101, PJ.

Dear Residents,

Please be informed that a security member's daughter was robbed in front of her house

at SS 2/101 on Tuesday at 10.30 pm while getting out of her car. Two Malay men, in separate

motorcycle and carrying long parang robbed her of a diamond ring, gold bracelet, laptop and

house keys. The father witnessed the robbery but unfortunately could not do much because

the robbers were armed and escaped shortly after. It was possible that the robbers

might have followed the victim home along the way.

Last weekend, a similar incident took place at Kg. Tunku in front of the school. Also involved

two Malay men on motorcycle. Their targets were two middle-aged women.

Residents especially females are reminded to be always on guard and vigilant and watch out for strangers or suspicious people, particularly those riding motorcycles, whenever getting into or

out of your car or when opening your house gate.

Meanwhile, security guards have been instructed to patrol more regularly and report any

suspicious characters or vehicles to the Police. For your information, due to budget constraints,

only two guards are on duty during day time while four are working at night.

New Security House Tag

Beware of Python in SS2D!

Dear Residents,

Watch out for a big python on the loose around SS2D!

Yes! Python was spotted on Thursday morning (18 Feb) about 7.00 am

in a drain at Jalan SS2/98. Bomba was immediately called in to catch it.

Unfortunately, by the time they arrived, the python had disappeared.

About 3 weeks earlier, a snake, believed to be the same python, changed its 

skin underneath some flower plants near the drain, also at SS2/98.

Since drains are all interconnected, it is possible the python might have moved

to another location nearby.

You are advised to be on extra alert and always be watchful. As a precaution and

for safety, you may want to dispose of any rubbish, trim your garden shrubs or

flower plants and clear the drain outside your house.

Temporary Road Closure at SS2/90 & SS2/96 during CNY

Dear Member Residents,

Please be informed of the Security Committee's decision that, as in previous year, during the 

Chinese New Year week from 6.2.2016 (Saturday) to 12.2.2016 (Friday), the boom-gates at Jalan SS2/90 and SS2/96 will be temporary closed for 24 hours daily to tighten security control within SS2D.

Residents are requested to use the entry/exit points at Jalan SS2/2 and SS2/107. 

Sorry for the 1-week inconvenience.

Take note that no additional security guards will be employed during this period due to budget

constraints and general shortage of security guards. You are therefore  advised to take extra

precautions, be alert & vigilant during the coming festive days, whether you are staying back at SS2

or plan to travel outstation for your holidays.
