Dear Residents,

For those of you who attended the Selangorku Bersama ADUN Anda Year-End Dinner, you would surely agree that it was a big success with a huge resident turn-out!

Because of the tremendous response from residents like you, nothing was left of those buffet dishes, nasi lemak, dumplings, cakes and ice-cream! Entertaining performances by clown, face-changing artist, magician were also very well received. Congratulations to 50 of you who received gift-pack through "Lucky Draw".

On behalf of our ADUN, YB Dr. Cheah & his hard working service team and councillor Mr.Tony Cheong, the Security Committee would like to sincerely thank you for your continuing support and for sharing such a wonderful occasion with us.

Change of Security Company for SS2D, Petaling Jaya.

Dear Residents,

From some residents’ negative feedback & comments and the Security Committee (SC)’s own observation & monitoring, we have noticed that the present security company, Perisai Bernas (M) Sdn Bhd, has not performed satisfactory despite numerous discussions with them, including showing photos of the wrongdoing, at monthly meeting.

The SC has since deliberated and decided to terminate the services provided by the present security company by giving them one month’s notice, ending on 31 Dec 2011.

After several presentations and discussions with other new security companies, the SC has issued a letter of appointment, to be effective beginning 1 Jan 2012, to the selected new security company, Paradise Security Services Sdn Bhd, who are presently providing similar security services to Damansara Utama areas (near Chim Kindergarten). The feedback we obtained from the Resident Association there is that they have a proven track record and that their performance thus far is good.

SC has full confidence in Paradise Security Services Sdn Bhd and we strongly believe the security services provided for SS2D will be very much improved even with the same number of security guards (i.e. 7 nos.).

Kindly take note that Paradise Security Services Sdn Bhd will commence operation on 1 January 2012 and they intend to man all the 4 entries/exits. Residents who are security members and have car sticker will be allowed entry while those without car sticker, the new security company will take down certain particulars before allowing them for entry. Meanwhile, security members without car sticker, kindly contact the Committee to purchase the sticker at RM 2.00 each.

The new emergency telephone numbers effective 1 January 2012 are as follows:

• Security Manager (Mr. Galvin) : 016 240 0737

The SC will ensure a smooth transition without any service interruption from the present security company to the new one.

Invitation To ‘Selangorku Bersama ADUN Anda Year-End Gathering’ Dinner

ADUN Damansara Utama YB Dr. Cheah Wing Yin and SS2D Security Committee are jointly organizing a ‘Selangorku Bersama ADUN Anda Year-End Gathering’ Dinner for SS2D residents, as follows:

• Date : 30 Dec 2011 (Friday)
• Time : 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm
• Venue : Playground at Jalan SS2/104

The event, inclusive of food and drinks, is fully funded by the ADUN's office.

Artists will be performing ‘face changing acts’, ‘magic show’. Children will be given small gifts and there will be entertainment from clowns. Special gifts for 50 lucky participants.

You & your family are cordially invited to attend this dinner which is free of charge. Nasi lemak, satay, ice cream and hawker foods will be served and 500 residents/guests are expected to attend.

We would like to take this opportunity to request residents to contribute, whatever amount you wish, to the coming project, i.e. installation of CCTV system at the entry/exit of SS2D area.

Photos on Townhall Meeting 9.11.2011

Dear Residents,

We are pleased to inform you that the SS2 Utara Townhall Meeting held on 9.11.2011 at Jalan SS2/104 play ground with YB MP, ADUN, Councillor, MBPJ officers was very well received. The attendance was indeed good, as you can see from the photos attached.

Highlight of the evening was the speech by MP for PJ Utara, YB Tuan Tony Pua. He briefed the residents on current issues related to water companies, electricity tariff & independent power producer (IPP), Government subsidies, Pakatan State Government's performance & delivery, 1 Malaysia Kedai Rakyat, Government servant 'population' etc, some of which got him into troubles with Utusan, albeit unfairly!

Many residents actively took part in the meeting/dialogue, gave valuable feedback/comments and raised up various matters concerning our neighbourhood such as security, road lighting, road resurfacing, yellow box, hygiene, car parking problem, rubbish collection, water-logged field, house used as office, Dijaya's planned hotel development, MBPJ enforcement and others.
