Please take note that the security scheme's next payment for January, February, Mac & April 2015  (RM 200) is due.  Members who joined at a different time resulting in payments not in sync with our schedule may adjust their payments accordingly so that all future payments can be synchronized. Those who wish to pay for more than 4 months (RM 400 for 8 months or RM 600 for 12 months) may continue to do so.

Kindly make payment by :

• cash; or
• cheque payable to “Persatuan Penduduk Sektor SS2 Utara, PJ.”  ; or
• e-banking/bank transfer direct into SS2D Account No: CIMB  8003414519 (new account number provided by CIMB). Please forward the payment slip/details to any Committee Member or e-mail to ss2dresidents@gmail.com for purpose of updating payment record and issuing of receipt.

Those who wish to pay half-yearly (i.e. 6 months) or yearly (12 months) may continue to do so.

You are hereby kindly requested to make payment by:

• cash, or

• e-banking/bank transfer direct into SS2D Account No: CIMB 12660001883051.

Security Advice: Always Close Your House's Front Gate

Dear Residents,

The patrolling guards have reported to the Security Committee that

lately, a number of residents have left their house front gate open

during day time and sometimes even at night.

We would like to express our concern that some of you might have

"unintentionally" taken security for granted, thereby putting yourself

and your family at risk of a security breach!

You are hereby advised that you should close your house's front gate

all the time and not leave it open unnecessarily long to safeguard

your own safety. It would really be a good deed if you can tell your

neighbour to do the same if you see his/her front gate open.

For security reason, please always be alert and stay vigilant!

Information on Robbery & Snatch Theft

Just passing on information.

1. Last week, a young lady was robbed right in front of

her house at about 6:30am. Location: SS2C area.

2. Yesterday (28th May 2014) Road between Damansara Intan

and TC Mall: Snatch theft incident in the afternoon.

About lunch time.

3. Today (29th May 2014) Just outside the open car park

area near Damansara Intan. Lone motorcyclist - About 8:30 am.

THE Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has received 23 applications as of April 30 from houseowners to have LED lights fitted to their back lanes.

Petaling Jaya mayor Datin Paduka Alinah Ahmad said last year, there were 56 applications. She hopes more residents will take advantage of the free installation of LED lights to deter crime.

Alinah added that MBPJ contractors will install the LED tube lights and the houseowner would have to pay the RM2 monthly electricity bill to Tenaga Nasional.

“The light-emitting diode (LED) lights are more suitable as they are brighter. It will also save the residents’ money because it is energy efficient and the tubes have a longer lifespan,” she added.

Former All Petaling Jaya Selangor Residents Association Coalition (Apac) adviser Mohamed Umar Peer Mohamed urged the council to absorb the RM2 cost.

“Electricity tariffs have also gone up and MBPJ should not put extra pressure on senior citizens living in Petaling Jaya,” he said.

If the LED lights are turned on for 12 hours a day over a year, the bill will be RM17.77 compared to ordinary fluorescent lights which would cost RM58.77.

A total of RM50,000 has been allocated every year for this programme which began in 2011. This year, another RM50,000 has been allocated.

Two of the earliest neighbourhoods that had the LED lights installed in 2011 were sections 5 and 52.

In 2012, the programme included Jalan Templer, SS2, SS8, SS9, PJU10, Sri Damansara and Taman Aman. For 2013, the areas were Section 17, Section 20, PJS3, Section 51 and PPRT Lembah Subang.

2nd Security Payment for 2014

Dear Member Residents,

Please take note that due to manpower shortage to distribute notice/to collect payment and the soon to be introduced cheque processing fee to be charged by the bank, the Security Committee has decided that, beginning May 2014, payment will be collected for a period of 4 months and not 3 months as previously done.

You are hereby kindly requested to make the 2nd security payment for 2014 for the months of May, June, July & August 2014  (RM 200).

Please make payment by:

• cash, or
• cheque payable to “Persatuan Penduduk Sektor SS2 Utara, PJ.”  , or
• e-banking/bank transfer direct into SS2D Account No: CIMB 12660001883051.
