organised by the RT SS2C & RA Section 19, coordinated by Mr. Tony Cheong as follows:

SS2D Security Arrangement

Dear Member Residents,

The Security Committee has decided to adjust the security arrangement by instructing the guard stationed at 2/107 guard house to go for patrolling from 6.00 am to 8.00 pm daily instead of static full time at the entry/exit point. He will now patrol in a motorcycle to cover the area between 2/2 to 2/106 and 2/107 to 2/113. After each patrol round, he may take a rest at the 2/107 guard house.

Below is a summary of the overall security arrangement with immediate effect:

Day shift (8.00 am to 8.00 pm)

4 guards on duty.

3 patrolling.

1 static at 2/90 guard house.

Night shift (8.00 pm to 8.00 am)

4 guards on duty.

2 to 3 patrolling, depending on the schedule of the static guard below.

1 static at 2/107 guard house (8.00 pm to 6.00 am)

1 static at 2/90 guard house (8.00 pm to 12.00 midnight, 6.00 am to 8.00 am)

1 static at 2/2 guard house (12.00 midnight to 6.00 am, guard from 2/90)

Boom gates at 2/90 & 2/96 will be closed from 12.00 midnight to 6.00 am without guard.

Boom gates at 2/107 & 2/2 will be closed from 12.00 midnight to 6.00 am with guard.

Security Payment for 3rd Quarter 2013

Dear Member Residents,

Please be informed that the security scheme's next quarterly payment for August, September & October 2013  (RM 150) is due.

Kindly make payment by cash or cheque payable to “Persatuan Penduduk Sektor SS2 Utara, PJ.”       

If you wish, you may voluntarily opt to pay for 6 months from August 2013 to January 2014 (RM300).

Please take note that there were a number of security cases in SS2D over the last few months, including an attempted robbery which resulted in a resident being stabbed at SS 2/96 and a break-in at SS 2/97. The residents must take precaution whenever they leave their house, always be alert and stay vigilant.

The Committee appeals for your help to get your neighbours to join the security scheme so that we have more funds to improve the security by manning all the entries/exits.

1) What should a woman do if she finds herself alone in the company of a strange
male as she prepares to enter a lift in a high-rise apartment late at night?
Experts Say: Enter the lift. If you need to reach the 13th floor, press
all the buttons up to your destination. No one will dare attack you in a lift that stops on every floor.

2) What to do if a stranger tries to attack you when you are alone in your
house, run into the kitchen.
Experts Say: You alone know where the chili powder and turmeric are kept.
And where the knives and plates are. All these can be turned into deadly
weapons. If nothing else, start throwing plates and utensils all over.
Let them break. Scream. Remember that noise is the greatest enemy of a
molester. He does not want to be caught.
3} Taking an Auto or Taxi at Night.
Experts Say: Before getting into an auto at night, note down its registration
number. Then use the mobile to call your family or friend and pass on the
details to them in the language the driver understands .Even if no one
answers your call, pretend you are in a conversation. The driver now knows
someone has his details and he will be in serious trouble if anything goes
wrong. He is now bound to take you home safe and sound. A potential attacker
is now your de facto protector!
4}What if the driver turns into a street he is not supposed to - and you
feel you are entering a danger zone?
Experts Say: Use the handle of your purse or your stole (dupatta) to wrap
around his neck and pull him back. Within seconds, he will feel choked
and helpless. In case you don’t have a purse or stole just pull him back
by his collar. The top button of his shirt would then do the same trick.
5} If you are stalked at night.
Expert Say: enter a shop or a house and explain your predicament.
If it is night and shops are not open, go inside an ATM box. ATM centers
always have security guards. They are also monitored by close circuit television.
Fearing identification, no one will dare attack you.
After all, being mentally alert is the greatest weapon you can ever have.
Please spread it to all those women u care & spread awareness as this is the

least we can do for a social & moral cause and fr d safety of women.

Selangor Times - Latest Issue

Dear Residents,

The Security Committee is pleased to inform you that the latest issue of

Selangor Times (18 - 20 Jan 2013), both English and Chinese versions, are now available for collection free of charge at the security guard post at SS2/90.

 

Regular future issues will also similarly be made available to you at the same guard post every week.
