Upgrading of SS2/94 Playground

Dear Residents,

For the benefit of SS2D community, the Security Committee has recently taken the initiative to approach MBPJ to upgrade the playground at SS2/94, PJ.

A meeting at the site was arranged on 8 Nov 2012 morning with En. Rubil of MBPJ Landscape Department. Below are the proposed upgrading works which will be considered by MBPJ:
  1. Rubber like material will be provided to cover the whole basketball court. The basket netting and the backboard will also be replaced with the latest material;
  2. Existing rusty electrical control box will be replaced;
  3. Opening for water to flow out from the playground which is always water-logged whenever it rains at present will be constructed;
  4. More earth will be added to the affected areas which will then be planted with grass;
  5. Existing concrete access/entrance to the playground will be upgraded and poles installed to prevent motorcycle from entering the playground; and
  6. A "wakaf" (pavilion) similar to the one at SS2/104 playground has been requested and En. Rubil has promised to forward our proposal to MBPJ for approval.
We hope the necessary budget can be obtained soon so that the above mentioned improvement works can proceed in the near future.

Thank you.
Security Committee

Attack on Security Guard!

Dear Residents,

On 9 Nov at about 6.20 am, six suspicious persons on 3 motorcycles were sighted rounding our neighbourhood along SS2/98 by a patrolling security guard. The guard tailed them to SS2/103 and at the same time called for reinforcement guards using walkie-talkie. Near Hock Thai Restaurant, the 6 motorcyclists turned back and beat up the patrolling guard using crash helmet.

More than 10 other security guards from SS2D & 2C arrived at the scene soon after. Police was also called and 3 police patrol cars came. The injured guard was asked to lodge a police report and to hospital for a medical check.

Residents are hereby advised to be alert and remain vigilant. Please report to the police or the security guard immediately if you see any suspicious person.
