Meeting / Walkabout with MBPJ Councillor

Dear Residents,

We wish to inform you that the Security Committee had met up with the MBPJ Councillor, Mr. Tony Cheong last Tuesday and subsequently had a walkabout at SS2D.

Below were some of the issues raised:

  • Pruning/trimming tree branches;
  • Resurfacing of major roads at SS2/2, 2/88, 2/103 and 2/107 (other roads will be arranged later);
  • Additional 26 nos. street lights (as per attached map);
  • No U-Turn from LDP to SS 2/2 towards SS2/107;
  • To repair/replace exercise equipment which are worn out, rusty and pose a danger to users at SS2/92 & 2/111 play fields;
  • To re-turf some portions of the play fields;
  • Problems related to partial removal of SS2/2 sound barrier wall;
  • Residents' objection to use Jalan SS2/104 as an entry road to the Tropicana City Complex;
  • To construct speed breaker along SS2/95 in front of the school (SK Taman SEA).

We are glad to note that SS2D Resident Association has the proper platform to seek meeting or dialogue with local authorities/Police/MP/ADUN/Councillor to discuss community issues not confining only to security.

Therefore, we would like to appeal to you to convince your neighbours to join the security scheme as soon as possible so that our voice can be heard louder and stronger.

Thank you very much.

Security Committee,
SS2D.

  1. May I also add that there are quite a huge number of stray dogs around the neighborhood. Especially around the tennis court park. These dogs make a huge mess with our garbage bins and also I have been chased when I am doing my daily jogs. Do you guys think that it will be a good move to call the authority to catch these dogs? I am just suggesting.
