Subject : Signature Campaign on Objection to the Conversion of an Apartment Block to Hotel, New Office Block and the Use of SS2/104 as Access Road

Dear Residents,

This is to inform you that the objection campaign against developer Dijaya Corp’s proposal to convert an apartment block to hotel and to use 2/104 as an access road had successfully collected 471 signatures with another 130 individual objections by residents staying nearest to the project site, including 11 who had received AR registered letter issued by MBPJ. In addition, Mr. Tan Lai Hock has also campaigned to get objections based on technical / legal grounds from some members of the original group of residents who were actively involved since 2005.

10 sets of formal objection letters complete with signatures were compiled and sent to Datuk Bandar MBPJ, Minister of Housing & Local Government, Selangor Menteri Besar, YB Tuan Tony Pua, YB ADUN and other parties concerned on 9 Mac 2011, a day before the deadline. Please refer to the complete list in the scanned copy of the letter attached together with all the acknowledgement stamps.

The Security Committee wishes to take this opportunity to thank all committee members, member-residents and concerned individuals including Mr. & Mrs. CJ Chuah, Tan Lai Hock, Phang Ah Lek, Foo Kok Wan, Carol Lai and many others for their full cooperation and hard work in the campaigning. Special thanks to Carol Lai and her husband who photocopied and comb-bound the letters and the signatures to about 1" thick for circulation.

Rest be assured that the SS2D Security Committee will stand by you and continue to pursue on this matter until hopefully an agreeable settlement is reached.

Thank you.
Yours truly,
Security Committee
